Feightful Fridays #4
Since the first three mixes have been hip-hop heavy, I decided to go strictly non-hip-hop this time around. The mix starts off super awesome with some avant jazz and Italian funk, rolling into rock and reggae. The last two songs didn’t fit very well with the rest, so I used them to close out the mix as a question/answer.
I feel a little guilty excluding hip-hop like I’m one of those...

Almost all hip-hop this time around (may have to try mixing things up a bit more next time), including a great Rhettmatic remix of Rob Base. Closes with one of the most offensive, misogynistic songs ever made. I apologize.

This second episode starts off a little awkwardly thanks to the upbeat Hans’che Weiss track, but leads in nicely to some darker, heavier tracks with the piano intro of the El Da Sensei cut. Oddly, Godfather Don makes another appearance in this episode.

Feightful Fridays #1
The first shuffle served up a handful of hip-hop and beats with a slower, darker edge to them, which made this mix an easy one to start. It was hard to transition smoothly to the Michael Franti track and even harder to move into the Junior Wells cut, which was way out of place in this mix.
